Varithena was first approved by the FDA for use in 2013.  Since then, our team has been utilizing this as a method for treating patients living with varicose veins and spider veins.  When you visit our team for treatment, make sure to ask if Varithena is the right course of action for you.

What Is It?

Varithena is a microfoam sclerosant medication that has been proven to be effective in treating varicose veins and spider veins.  This treatment is used by injecting Varithena intravenously into the problematic veins.  Once it has been injected, this foam begins to expand to help collapse the varicose vein or spider vein.  It also seals any faulty vessels so the blood can find a more optimal route to travel.  

Symptoms That Can Be Eliminated

While varicose veins and spider veins are primarily considered to be cosmetic issues, there are times when the symptoms can bring about various levels of discomfort.  Fortunately, Varithena can be used to mitigate and eliminate these symptoms, allowing you to restore your quality of life.  Such symptoms include:
