Laser Ablation
Much like radiofrequency ablation, laser ablation is a minimally invasive procedure used to help combat varicose veins and spider veins. This form of treatment is most effective when the veins are still relatively straight and untwisted, meaning you must seek out care as soon as you see an issue begin to develop. Our team at Renew Vein Centers is well versed in performing laser ablations and can use it to help you overcome your venous insufficiency once and for all.
The Process
Laser ablation involves the use of catheters, ultrasounds, and lasers to help combat the effects of varicose veins. The first step of the process is to insert a catheter into the area that is being treated. Next, our staff uses ultrasounds to help navigate the catheter through the vein. A laser at the end of the catheter then heats the vein walls to begin closing them off. Doing so allows blood to stop flowing through the vein, allowing it to shrink and fade.
